The Hershey Company has heard from many peanut- and tree-nut-allergic consumers about how much they love our milk chocolate Hershey-ets. Knowing that, the Hershey Company would like to let those managing a peanut and/or tree nut allergy know that they may see a Holiday item at Sam’s Club this season that consists of four individual bags of Hershey-ets and two individual bags of Reese’s Pieces.  Although all Hershey-ets continue to be manufactured on equipment that does not process peanuts or tree nuts, this particular assortment contains bags of Hershey-ets packaged next to bags of Reese’s Pieces.    

Although peanut-allergic consumers are unlikely to purchase this assortment, we appreciate that the individual bags in the assortment may be separated and given out as gifts/stocking stuffers. To help consumers distinguish the bags from this specific assortment from other bags of Hershey-ets, we have included a precautionary statement that reads “packaged on the same equipment that packages peanuts” on both the assortment box and the individual bags. Please note that this is specific only to this Sam’s Club assortment box (shown below) and does not have any impact on any of the other packages of Hershey-ets.
